Ridgeback Tour 2017 (8P 11-32, weight: 13kg) 

A comfortable and durable touring bike that requires little maintenance. I have already traveled about 11,000 km and have had no major problems. Before my trip to South America, I added a new saddle, a new set of tires, a new chainring and a new crank arm for easier gear transmission.

EQUIPMENT

When choosing equipment for a bike trip, you need to adapt to the lack of space and bring only essential things. Nevertheless, the amount of equipment and the total weight depends mostly on the traveler. From those who cannot part with their dogs and guitars and who ride 60 kg bicycles to those who cycle on extremely light bicycles that weigh 15 kg. Personally, around 20 kg of equipment is the upper limit for normal traveling. With extra water and food on the road, I do not want to exceed a total weight of 40 kg.
